Why Bikes On Boats?
Jim and Lois have spent the past 20 years enjoying their boat on Lake Erie in Sandusky. After they bought bikes, they wanted a way to easily transport them on their boat. The bikes took up a lot of room on the boat and would bounce around on trips to the islands. When Jim could not find any bike brackets to support his bikes in 2007, he made his own. Soon other boaters were asking Jim where they could get the bike supports. In 2008 we formed Jim’s Custom Creations, LLC, and are selling the bike brackets to other boaters around the United States.
Using Jim’s brackets, Jim and Lois easily remove their bikes from their bow rail. When not in use the brackets can be left on the bow rail, or easily removed and re-attached when you need your bikes. Other boaters keep their bikes stored on their bow rails using Jim’s brackets. The brackets are made of high-density polyethylene which is stabilized to resist salt water, chemicals, and sun light When secured properly, your bikes will not scratch your boat. Your bikes will remain secure and not be tossed around by the waves.
